The Mid-America Council is a unit of the Boy Scouts of America, serving Scouts in parts of Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota. Although, the Mid-America Radio Scouting Net is not officially affiliated with the Boy Scouts, its mission is to promote Radio Scouting. Radio Scouting's purpose is to bring together amateur (ham) radio and Boy Scouts in the region. The net is informal and open to any amateur radio operator interested in the Radio Scouting mission. The group meets each Wednesday at 8:00 pm on the 147.390 MHz (tone: 131.8) repeater in Bellevue, Nebraska. |
